Senior Producer - Hardin-Simmons University

Obligations for this role include overseeing the media team as well as directing and showcasing leadership in multimedia productions for sports and entertainment at Hardin Simmons University. Administrative work is also key in this role, as it helps the producers to keep up with deadlines and track equipment or to do tasks.

On-field set up of camera and audio equipment for DIII athletic events such as football, soccer, volleyball, and baseball.

Gained significant experience on different production roles such as technical director (TriCaster console), videoboard operator (Daktronics), replay clips (New Tech 3-Play Replay System), audio console operator, stage manager, graphics operator, and engineering and shading.

Participate in video production and performed all aspects of post-production, reviewed scenes, sequence selection, and trimmed shots to deliver on-time, appropriate, and outstanding videos.
Experienced in-studio and on-field video and photo productions with Panasonic, Sony, and Canon equipment.
Excellent management of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom.

Assisted on the production of Radio Maria's content and organized information for on-air broadcast.
Operation of the audio console, on-air production, and telephone calls for on-air shows.
Recorded material for spots, jingles, and ads for on-air broadcasts.
Edited videos and photos to create Facebook and Instagram ads about Radio Maria's biggest annual fundraiser event with Premiere Pro.
Management of Radio Maria's official Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp accounts and planification and creative creation of posts, stories, ads, and videos which were all uploaded.

May 2020 - August 2020

Researched and interviewed sources. Gathered information to create news stories and sports, entertainment, and opinion stories for our biweekly local newspaper, The Brand.
Wrote opinion pieces about feminism, society issues, and racial matters. Also researched about school's latest announcements regarding COVID-19 policies, and worked with the International Students Global Engagement office of Hardin Simmons University to write pieces about our foreign students.

August 2018 - August 2019

Performed in-depth research into topics and analyzed interviewed sources to deliver high-quality, insightful, and informative immediate press releases. Developed strong skills of time management, WordPress, and Microsoft Office.
Interviewed outstanding faculty and alumni on Hardin Simmons University, including Pete Ondeng, Kenyan-based economic development practitioner, author, speaker and a one-time Kenyan Presidential candidate in 2017.
The Baptist Standard published one of my pieces on their website.

May 2017 - August 2018

Coordinated research about entertainment topics such as music, films, celebrities, etc. and delivered live content to the radio audience.
Executed proper elocution and articulation to deliver content in Spanish and English.
Audio console operation for my show and two other shows when needed.
Excellent understanding of microphones set up and sound check.
